Dr. Matthew Varley has ten years of clinical experience. He earned his bachelor's degree at Brown University and his Ph.D. in counseling psychology at the University of Georgia. Dr. Varley has worked with diverse individuals and groups in a variety of settings including community health clinics, universities, and court systems. In psychotherapy, he takes a person-centered approach drawing on humanistic, existential, mindfulness-based, and meaning-seeking philosophies of growth and change. Dr. Varley is a member of the North Carolina Psychological Association and the American Academy of Psychotherapists.
